ABOUT US

We don`t start changes. We create new solutions!

Organization for Career Development and Youth Entrepreneurship “Connecting” was founded 2013 with the aim to create a community of entrepreneurs who are dealing with the most important challenges that young people face in our society.

Today, Connecting is of the few organizations from the territory of South Banat that holds the certificate of accredited organization for application and improvement of quality standards of youth work.

Our general goal is to educate children and youth in the areas of social entrepreneurship and career guidance and counseling by empowering them to take responsibility and thus become responsible members of our community.

Connecting operates on the local level and it is the only organization in South Banat which is focused on programs in area of career guidance and youth counseling and social entrepreneurship.

The educational program of career guidance and social entrepreneurship are realized through programs of informal education and in partnership with elementary and high schools as a part of extracurricular activities. They are available to all students of the age:

  • Elementary school (13-14 years)
  • High school (15-19 years)

Educational programs are held by certified youth leaders and workers who provide necessary knowledge and skills so that students will be able to make decisions independently and thoughtfully about starting their own business, continuing careers or schooling.

Thanks to the support of our partners, more and more schools are interested in education on social entrepreneurship and career guidance and counseling, while the number of children and the number of young people involved in educational programs Connecting is increasing, and to date, more than 1000 children and youth participated in our educational programs.

Finally, we want to emphasize that the educational programs of Connecting are focused on the development of skills for the 21st century for children and young people. 21st-century skills (life skills, literacy skills, and knowledge) represent a set of abilities that children and young people need to develop to get success in the age of knowledge economy.
